The fully redundant network begins with two (2) separate 1,000 Mbps (Gigabit) uplinks to each server, which are connected to a redundant Gigabit Ethernet backbone network. The data center is a world class facility located in one of North America’s premier carrier hotels, The Bandwidth Exchange Building located in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. Our 10,000 square foot facility includes state-of-the-art security, N+1 redundancy in all critical systems, an on-site Network Operations Center monitored by qualified engineers 24/7. The state-of-the-art Data Center facility houses Points of Presence (POPs) for all of the major Internet & telecommunication carriers operating in the central United States including: Verizon (MCI/UUNet), Sprint, AT&T, Level(3), Qwest, XO Communications, Cogent, WilTel, Broadwing, Savvis, McLeodUSA, and Charter Communications among others. In addition, the data center staff is responsible for managing the “Meet-Me Room” for the building, which is a private peering point between all of the network providers and carriers. This facility is directly connected to the data center and allows for direct connection utilization into each of these carriers’ Internet backbone networks without any local loops or cross-connects. These direct connections enable the delivery of extremely fast, low-latency Internet bandwidth – which explains why more than half of customers reside in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and South America – and why they experience exceptional Internet network performance. |
