Warranty and Return Policy
All systems branded Nexlink, manufactured by NBS’ partner company, Seneca Data, carry a one (1) year, two (2) year, or three (3) year limited depot warranty on parts and labor and/or on-site service, if applicable. Your invoice contains information for the specific limited warranty included for your system. Warranty uplifts are available for Nexlink branded systems for an additional fee.
Limited Warranty:
During the limited warranty, we will repair or replace any Nexlink branded hardware products returned to NBS that prove to be defective in materials, or workmanship. A Return Authorization (RA) Number will be issued to you for any authorized returns. You must return the products to NBS in their original or equivalent packaging, prepay shipping charges, and insure the shipment or accept the risk if the product is lost / damaged in shipment. You must return the defective product within ten (10) days of such issued RA number, or your claim may be denied. NBS will return the repaired or replacement products to you. We will pay to ground ship the repaired or replaced products to you if you use an address in the United States (excluding Puerto Rico and U.S. possessions and territories). Otherwise, we will ship the product to you freight collect. If NBS determines that the problem is not covered under this warranty, we will notify you and inform you of service alternatives that are available to you on a fee basis. Note: Before RA product is shipped, make sure to back up the data on the hard drive(s) and any other storage device(s) in the product(s). Remove any confidential, proprietary or personal information, removable media, such as floppy disks, CDs, or PC Cards. We are not responsible for any of your confidential, proprietary or personal information; lost or corrupted data; or damaged or lost removable media.
This limited warranty does not cover:
- Software, including the operating system and software added to the Nexlink branded hardware products through our factory-integration system, third-party software, or the reloading of software.- Non-Nexlink branded and Solution Provider Direct products and accessories.
- Problems that result from: External causes such as accident, abuse, misuse, or problems with electrical power; Servicing not authorized by NBS; Usage that is not in accordance with product instructions; Failure to follow the product instructions or failure to perform preventive maintenance; Problems caused by using accessories, parts, or components not supplied by NBS; Products with missing or altered serial numbers.
THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE (OR JURISDICTION TO JURISDICTION). NBS' RESPONSIBILITY FOR MALFUNCTIONS AND DEFECTS IN HARDWARE IS LIMITED TO REPLACEMENT AS SET FORTH IN THIS WARRANTY STATEMENT. FOR U.S. CUSTOMERS, ALL EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES FOR THE PRODUCT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN TIME TO THE TERM OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. NO WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WILL APPLY AFTER THE LIMITED WARRANTY PERIOD HAS EXPIRED. SOME STATES OR JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS, OR LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY OR CONDITION LASTS, SO THIS LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. NBS DOES NOT ACCEPT LIABILITY BEYOND THE REMEDIES PROVIDED FOR IN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY OR FOR SPECIAL, INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY LIABILITY FOR THIRD-PARTY CLAIMS AGAINST YOU FOR DAMAGES, FOR PRODUCTS NOT BEING AVAILABLE FOR USE, OR FOR LOST DATA OR LOST SOFTWARE. NBS LIABILITY WILL BE NO MORE THAN THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE PRODUCT THAT IS THE SUBJECT OF A CLAIM. THIS IS THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT FOR WHICH NBS IS RESPONSIBLE. SOME STATES OR JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
Warranties for Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) Products:
COTS products are under warranty in accordance with the specific manufacturer warranty provided for that product. Warranty uplifts may be available on a fee basis for such products, as offered by the respective manufacturer. Specific warranty details and information is included with such products. NBS neither assumes nor implies any warranty; the stated manufacturer warranty is your only remedy. All warranty repairs, replacements or refunds are at the sole discretion of such stated manufacturer. Contact the manufacturer directly for all warranty issues outside of a 30 day purchase.
Special Order / COTS Items:
Special order COTS items are not refundable after 30 days. Any refunds are at the sole discretion of NBS and may be subject to a 20% restocking fee. Opened items will only be accepted at the sole discretion of NBS and a higher restocking fee may prevail.
Custom Configured Products:
Custom configured items manufactured by NBS or custom integrated COTS products are not returnable to NBS. All sales are final for custom configurations.
Damage to product(s) during shipping:
All damages to products occurring during shipping must be reported to NBS within forty eight (48) hours of receipt of product. Failure to notify NBS of such damages in compliance with this timeframe may void your warranty and your rights to have such product repaired, replaced or refunded. A claim must be made with the shipping carrier at the time of shipment if such product is delivered in an obvious damaged or non-merchandisable fashion.
Dead on Arrival (DOA) Products:
DOA Products must be reported to NBS within seven (7) days of sale. DOA items will be replaced at no cost to you, including shipping. If, upon return to the manufacturer, it is determined that through your misuse or product usage not in accordance with instructions caused such product to be defective, you assume liability for all costs of repair, replacement and shipping.
Exchange Policy:
From time to time, NBS may, in its sole discretion, exchange products or portions of a product. If we elect to exchange a product or portion of a product, we ship replacement products, shipping prepaid, if you use an address in the continental U.S. Shipments to other locations may include a shipping charge. NBS may include a prepaid shipping container with each replacement product or part for your use in returning the replaced product/part to NBS. For NBS to ship the replacement product/part, you must provide NBS with your valid charge card number (Visa or MasterCard) with expiration date and billing address information as security for return of the replaced part. You are invoiced for the cost of the replacement part, but NBS processes the invoiced amount against your charge card account only if you fail to return the replaced part within 10 days from the invoice date. If you return the replaced product/part within 10 days from invoice date, NBS credits the invoice and your charge card is not charged. If you cannot provide your valid charge card number, NBS ships the replacement part once NBS receives the replaced product/part. To prevent damage during shipment, the replaced part must be packed in the shipping container provided and in the same manner as the replacement part that was received. You will not receive credit on the invoice for a return if the replaced part is damaged due to improper packaging. You accept full responsibility for your software and data. NBS is not required to advise or remind you of appropriate backup and other procedures. Replacement parts may be new or reconditioned. NBS may provide replacement parts made by various manufacturers when making exchanges. The warranty term for a replacement part is the remainder of the limited warranty term applicable to the replaced part. If you are an organization that bought products from NBS under a signed, written agreement with NBS, that agreement may contain different provisions covering credit card collateral for exchanges of products/parts.
What do I do if I need warranty service?
Within your warranty period, for Nexlink branded systems, please contact NBS as outlined below. Please have the specific computer order number available. For COTS products outside of a 30 day purchase, please contact the manufacturer as provided in their specific warranty. NBS Technical Services: 518.783.0222
Support Procedures:
When you contact NBS Technical Support with an issue, we will ask you to participate in some limited phone-based troubleshooting to identify the root cause of the issue. Our focus on remote troubleshooting can help minimize overall system downtime by getting the issue quickly fixed remotely or helping us to dispatch the right part (if necessary) - all in an effort to get your system and running as quickly as possible with a repaired system on the first call. You will help the technician serve you better if you have your serial number, operating system version, and peripheral models you are using. NBS Technical Support can then access our large database for your system history and extensive knowledge base. Let the technician know what error message you are getting and when it occurs, as well as what steps you may have already taken to solve the problem. If we cannot resolve the issue over the phone, a service call will be placed to dispatch the appropriate part(s) and a service technician, if necessary.
Obtaining a RA Number from NBS:
NBS uses a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) form in the specific instance where an item may need to be returned. The RMA form can be acquired by contacting NBS directly at 888.627.7671, or sending an email request to RA@NBSsystems.com
Changes to this Warranty Policy:
NBS reserves the right at any time to modify, change or alter any aspect of this warranty policy as deemed necessary or in accordance with specific manufacturer warranties. Any exceptions to these stated policies are at the sole discretion of NBS.

This aggregate information may be provided to third parties such as advertisers. In the interest of protecting your privacy, this aggregated data does not contain any personally identifiable information.
